I just put a system in my 2011 tacoma, I removed the climate control head unit blah blah blah, and while I had the climate control out I decided to change the leds inside of it.
I changed the outter two with no problem, so I proceeded to do the a/c and air cycle button ones, tore it apart, broke the spring on the speed switch in the process, realized it was to much, and backed out. Put it all back together, and re installed it, now its not working. i have no climate controls, no fans turn on, nothing. the only thing that works is I can press the air cycle button and it turns orange but doesnt do anything. So I know its getting power.....what do I do? I cant even find a climate control unit for sale.

Hmmmm...only thing I can think of is maybe a wire got yanked off of something or a fuse. Its very possible there is more then one fuse for that location, I'd start there.

Yeah I'm not sure then. I know you probably know your stuff but did you check the fuses under the hood too?

Yeah I checked there. Thanks. I would rather everyone treat me like an idiot and give me an answer to fix my truck than assume I know it all and skip out on the answer. Called a parts place. The control box is only 250 bucks.=/ I think I have no other choice than to just go to Toyota and bend over. I can only imagine what they will charge to replace the wiring if its that.

So I do believe I figured it out, I took my handy dandy volt meter out there and started playing. its not my wiring. All I can assume is since I broke one plastic clip on the back of the control panel of by the circuit board on every time I removed it, which was 3 times leaving one clip left, it lost connection. New parts ordered. Coming from a 2006, its the entire center piece with trim and everything, and its black which is good because I hate the silver and wanted black anyways.

There are a total of 4 lights in there? What lights are you wanting?

    Back ground or the buttons.

    Buttons a/c and circulating are a 5m

Background is a neowedge Base type

Note that the neowedge base bulb that I showed is not a 360 degree bulb and will not light the whole background.
