No, in fact... my 2010 has good springs (3 pack) that don't let the truck bottom out. I know what bad leaf springs are like because my 2005 DC needed the TSB really bad... with rear seat passengers even, the truck would bottom when driving over a bump or hole. The only problem is I didn't know about TSBs then, and my dealer offered no help, so I fixed it on my dime by adding Ride Rite air springs (bags) as well as 5100 shocks in back.

Why there are still some Tacos with bad leaf springs, I don't know... But, I kept my Ride Rites off my '05 in case I need to add them to the '10. So far, I have had a super heavy load and my '10 does not bottom-out! I did take a photo of the spring # when I had my back tire off, and am curious if I got some special spring that is different? I have not been able to get any others with '10 or newer Tacos to provide spring numbers if they had bad ones that bottomed out...

Note the -K at the end (LH=Left side?)

    Great discussion. LOL

Last winter in MN was one of the worst ever. My 337 VW GTi was a champ in the snow with new snow tires. There was only two times where it couldn't get around. One of those times was when my buddy picked me up in his WRX, and we just drove around for a while. Being him, he tried to be a hero and we had to dig it out a couple times.

My 2011 Tacoma DCLB sport will never have a problem ever if my low GTi could get around. I'm putting 500 pounds of sand bags in the bed and I'll have tow straps and clevis hooks to help other people because my truck will be unstoppable. Geez. Why are people complaining about a 4WD truck.

I'd rather sell the oil to the US through a pipeline than pipe it to the coast here and load it on Chinese tankers , because that is Plan B .

Not a big fan of Chinese oil tankers off our coast here .

I'm going to bed , later

    To come.
I was kind of set on an Off-Road... But I'm leaning more and more towards a long bed. Sticking my surfboards in there without having them leaning on the tailgate sounds like a good thing to me. Plus, I'm a musician too and I can carry more gear in the long bed.

Plus, I don't do much off-roading and most of my 4x4 will be in the snow and not the dirt.

I understand that a short bed is better off-road, but I see no reason why Toyota shouldn't offer the TRD Off Road with a long bed. I'm sure some guys that don't do any of the heavy off-roading will prefer that over a Sport. I know I would.
