I'm thinking about debadging my truck but I'm afraid that it might have "shadows" behind the badges...With the heat in TX I'm just not sure if it is something that is needed to be done asap.

I have an 08 and I'm sure it will be fine but, I just want to know how old was your taco when you debadged it? At what point do you think the "shadows" appear?

    Ya, it's white.

Makes me feel better that you did it after a year in AZ...If you can pull it off in AZ, I can do it here in TX...

I lived in Tucson for 2 yrs...the heat/humidity in TX is nothing compared to the way the sun beats down on you in AZ...

No worries bro. I have been in Tucson for about 1.5 years now. I have debadged my Taco and no shadows. The Tuc-sizzle heat made debadging simple and easy.

Believe it or not guys, but the ski resort on Mt. Lemmon is open. This past weekend there was over a foot of snow fall. Of course, there was already some on the ground before then. But to my surprise, there is still snow up there to ski on.

BTW, shaving isn't debadging... shaving would be removing the door handles for an electronic poper lock and such... :p

Anyway, I'd say go for it but i'm still on the fense myself.

I helped debadge a 2 year old Pontiac G6 and it came out with very faint ghost badges. Like you can ONLY see them in one certain time (sunset) at one certain direction (sun at about 85 degrees perpendicular to the decklid). But there's hope! As we used scratch filler and a good wax that gives you almost no dissatisfaction for 5 minutes of work! :D

The only shadows that will remain will be the shadow of regret for not debadging sooner.
