Well that sucks... and I have a stock 06 with the 4L V6 and I got it to 8.2 seconds with my friend timing multiple times with a full tank.

Im sure I could get into 7s if I put smaller tires on it and with a few minor mods, but its not really worth it to me. I can still beat any chevy/Gm 5.3L v8 off a standing start, and theyre mainly the ones that try to race lol

Yeah those x-runners are a little faster than mine tho

Holy old thread resurrection batman!!! LOL

For what's its worth, my quickest 0-60mph is 4.93 on street tires with bouncing the rev limiter in 1st gear (hurting anywhere from .1-.3 seconds).

I clocked mine yesterday and my best of three 0-60mph runs is 10.6 sec on a flat road. This was with the A/C off and the pwr button engaged. I habe a stock 03 DC v-6 auto PreRunner with 265-70-16 Destination ATs. I weigh 150 lbs.

Road tests that I have seen on 1st gen DC trucks says it should be around 9.5 sec.

I have thought that my truck feels like something is holding it back when I put the pedal to the metal(mainly in fist gear). My 0-60 time seems to prove this. I may need new plugs. Any other ideas? I am used to the power of my V-6 Camery.

I actually spend around a minute going from 0 to 60. Fuel isn't cheap.

Car and Driver got 0-60 mph in 6.9 sec and 1/4 mile in 15.6 sec with a DCLB running stock Dunlop 245 tires. They probably launched in 4H to minimize wheelspin.

I agree it's not good for time to go in 4X4 out of the whole however driving in a strait line should not damage any 4X4 components, better tires and better driving will shave your 0-60 more than going out of the whole in 4X4

Yeah just curious why can't our trucks go over 60 in 4hi? I just came from a Duramax where we launched in 4hi and then went over 100...

Then again i have no interest launching the taco, its slow, i know, everyone knows....
