Thanks. Pic is from a recent roadtrip. Went up to Yellowstone/Grand Teton/Cody area for a while, then thru the Bighorns, out east on 90 to the Black Hills/Badlands area.

I take it nothing evil befell you from violating the Indians sacred "Mato Tipila" ("bears lodge").

Thank you. I should drop in on Sparks next time I'm out on I-80. I like Old West history so I usually just keep going to I-395 and go south to Virginia City or Carson City.

I'm excited to finally be able to post in this thread. In a few days time the Leer dealer in Michigan will be calling me to pick up my new 100XR loaded with Thule roof rack, carpet interior, 50/50 sliding windows and a keyless unlock/lock system. I can't wait! I'll be sure to post pics as soon as its on.

I also got the BedRug Mat + Tailgate on order. don't need the sides, because my bed already has sides...lol no really, stuff usuall sets on the grond so i got ground cover...lol

Everthing in it works, no water gets in, windows slide easy, door locks, light comes on...etc...It's just cool.

I also got the Undercover Side Case. Very useful, and if you want with a quick relaese, you can remove it from it's 2 pins. U can also lock the whole cse to the truck as well as lock the top so you cant open it.

So, a question for anyone with the Leer 100 XR...

Assuming you have the truck twisted, high articulation through a ditch for example...

Have you had issues with the rear glass or are you concerned about the rigid mounting points? I wonder if there is any chance that the glass could break with the flex of the truck? Had no issues with a prior 100R, but haven't had any exposure to the latch style on the XR.

Looking at the XR for my 2012...

Yep the XV was crazy spendy but I love mine and also went with full options including the overhead storage cubbies. The VX is easily the best cap going and coming.

I really wanted to get the SnugTop XV as well. Especially for the extra large window size and the sliding screen, this would have been nice to have for the dogs.

Too bad SnugTops nearest dealer is about 13 hrs away from the Ontario/US border.

I put a matching Leer 100XL on my 2010 TRD. At the time, it was offered in special package deal. So, the price was OK and it fit my needs. It has sliding side glass and cab window - which also drops down for cleaning. Nicely molded to fit the lines on the Tacoma, the interior is carpeted with LED dome light, solid rear window with center latch handle (easy access) and clothing hanger - comes in handy to hang waders. I think it cost about $900 installed and complete with Thule mounting points. A&A Toppers, Lakewood Colorado.

Went with a 100XR, with the Thule racks, drop slider and pet-screen windows. I'm really happy with the quality of the top, and it looks great.

I was thinking the same thing. I have a link in my sig for third brake light and have been trying to figure out the interior dome. I really think the only way is to run some wires all the way to the battery.
