Anyone know of any good camping spots in socal? I need to start reserving for this summer. We like:

    Trees, not desert
    toilets, not necessarily flush
    Dirt roads, not paved
More remote, not to the point of no toilets though

Live in OC, willing to travel up to 2 hours or so.

    Thanks for any ideas.

I'm more interested in specific campgrounds and even specific numbered campsites if anyone has any preferences....

exact numbers I dont know, I just know the entrance was off of the 79 and it was about a long dirt road to the top and there were a bunch of designated campsites

My idea of camping is straight roughing it!!! As far a bathroom...what's wrong with just a hole.

nothing wrong with a hold for me, but I don't wanna go alone and my girl would kill me if I took her somewhere without a potty.

Cuyamaca! Loved it. Family oriented and fun.

Another option I would highly suggest is Joshua Tree!!! Great trails for our trucks and for streaking in nude (not that I've done that or gone off roading with no clothes on). :D http://www.nps.gov/jotr/
