Soooooo I'm sitting at a best Western parking lot right now broke down waiting for the tow truck to show. It's gonna be a while so might as well tell my story now. Sorry I have no pics.

So I decided to go to a bonfire with a bunch of friends and a local TW'er. Everything was going I was having a good time. Then some guys decided to go romp their truck. He ended up getting stuck at the top of the sand dune. They ran into a a wall of sand on the upside of the trench on top of the dune. One guy ended up breaking his 2 front teeth and broke the drivers windshield. The girl in the back smashed her head. Lucky the guy some how caught his teeth in his hands and still held onto his beer lol. He truck ended up only breaking a front turn signal light. After seeing that u would think I would have been like. Today might not be a good day to romp.

Anyways about 30 minutes after that I got pier pressured into going. I mean what else are friends for. So I drove around moderatly until I noticed I wasn't going today fast and I was reving alot more than usual. I realized that my emergency brake was on. Oppsy!!!! I was smoking alittle so i took her back to the fire it smelled bad so i let it sit for a good while. After about an hour I decided to drive around a little in the sand to see how it is now. I didn't get very far I was driving it was kinda hard to shift to second gear. About 30 seconds after that my truck slowed to a stop and my rpm went up. That's when I knew I was fucked! I didn't hear any noise of anything breaking, no service lights came on and still haven't turned on. I am super pissed that this Shit happened. Certified preowned with 50k miles, I bought 3 months ago and haven't romped it hard ever. And something like this happens. I have the power train warranty thank god. So I'm praying that I don't have to pay for anything. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think I should have to pay for this. I didn't drink at all but after this happen. I put 2 back pretty damn quick if I do say so myself.

I know if I'm offroading u gotta be ready for things to break and u gotta pay to play. But this wasn't anywhere close to crazy or moderate rompage that's why I'm stop upset.

what should I tell the dealership?
Everything, tell them some of it, or lie my ass?

What could it be? I'm thinking the clutch went out If so how much do u think it will cost to fix.

Ps. While I was driving with the e brake on i didn't have my rpm GO above 3000k

So today : Me < mother nature

Just tell them the truth. Why lie? If you have coverage, it will cover what it's supposed to. If not, then you know the limits of the truck now. :(

Good luck on having it covered though. Keep us posted.

+1. OP, how old are you? Take care of your shit, quit acting like a spoiled kid who finally realizes he's not bulletproof. Man up and get it fixed. Sheesh. Maybe this is a learning experience, hmm?

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Exactly what I was thinking, if something broke in the tranny you would likely hear metal particles moving around in there.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The clutch is considered a consumable part, just like the brake pads. Regardless of any sob story you tell them, they will more than likely tell you to pound sand.............or romp as you say.

It's never a good idea to post about drinking and driving on any vehicle enthusiast forum.
