Yea Im a copy cat, but once I saw the idea I had to do it
I just took it to the next level with the XDI True Flow painted to match.
Great Saturday project!! Just get ready to do some intricate detail with the tape I do recomend using tape called Frog tape its green it leaves no residue and virtually no bleeding.

pretty much all Saturday about 1.5 hours of prep, I would spray a coat allow to dry then apply another. I waited till Sunday to apply clear coat
and I did it all in the shop were I could turn the heat up. All in all, around 5-6 hours.

Nice work, I painted mine red to match the TRD intake. I think I'm going to paint the letters and emblem black.

alot of sanding along with using car grade paint, I had to custom mix the paint. I found out you really cant find the Burnt orange paint just anywhere.

Gorilla 97 Yours is tough looking as well great job but up here if I would have went with that and black letters, I would disgrace my heritage looking like Texas Tech. Man its awesome really like the TRD LOOK!

Believe it or not, I found a can of spray paint that matches perfectly! It's actually a "cinnamon" color and the cap for the can looks brown, but when it dried, it matches all my UT hats perfectly!
