Anyone found any other brands that work with a newer Tacoma? I really like the option to be able to tell how much is left in the fuel tank. I spend a lot of time out in the middle of nowhere in Utah.

    Have you tried google.com?

I've had my scangauge for several years and it looks like there are many different options out there - just depends on what you want and how much you want to pay.

Why is everybody so quick with this answer? Why yes I did check. Every one I checked through Amazon said it is not compatible with a 2012 Tacoma so I even checked the same ones with a 2011 Tacoma and most said no. At that point I got tired of searching so I figured there would be some nice people on here that have already done this and found some results. But I have to get this tired old answer. So please keep your ignorance to yourself. So those of you that have real experience with these I would really like to hear from you about this brand or others. Pro/cons. The biggest benefit for me would to be able to know exactly how much fuel is left in the tank. I drive out into the west deserts of Utah and some way out of the way places. So this would be a good thing for me to know. Thanks.

What brand was that you said you liked?..?..? Oh that's right you didn't. Thanks for the just guess idea. I think it is stupid how some fuel gauges turn on the low light and there is still 3-4 gallons left. That's is close to a 1/4 tank that's retarded and unhelpful.

Haha love the guys that say they "ask nicely because there must have been other nice people out there that have wondered the same thing" And then they act like a douchecanoe right back.

To answer the OP, if Amazon says it wont work, then get what Amazon says will work. If you want advice, search, because the question has been answered numerous times.

I'm not a nice person.

But seriously....90% of the questions people ask have already been asked at least a dozen times or even hundreds of times before. Of those people - 95% never considered (or thought of) using google or searching the forum.

I'm not saying that you're not allowed to ask those questions - I'm simply saying you're going to get responses of people telling you to search.

You get tired of seeing the same responses - well - the forum users get tired of seeing the same questions.

    I'll be nice this time...

Did you go to the Scangauge site?
    http://www.scangauge.com/

According to their vehicle compatibility page.... scroll down to 2011 and it says *Works on All* except Chevy Cruze.

They obviously haven't updated or verified 2012's yet but as everyone else has already said - 2012 is the same vehicle as 2011. Toyota isn't mentioned anywhere in the 'exceptions' column.

Don't ask Amazon for information on a product they don't make. They don't know anything about the product. You need to talk to Scangauge directly. Talk to a sales rep...... and if by some freak problem that it doesn't work for you - Amazon has GREAT service in returning things.

    Too many mods to list
UltraGauge is not very accurate with the gas reading. At least that has been my experience. Can't comment on the other gauges.
