For the past month or so I have started noticing this noise and feeling under the drivers side floor board. It's almost like I'm driving over those rumble strips on the freeway. I can feel it on every rotation of the tires. The faster I go the less I notice it but it's still there.

Anyone have any idea what this is?

It's not making a grinding noise or anything like that so I don't think it's the bearings. It's hard to describe what it feels like. It's almost like I'm going over rumble strips on the highway but not feeling every one. The rotation feels like a circle that's out of round or a flat tire feeling.

everything rotates up there unless you have manual hubs.

I should probalby clearify the feeling a little better. The feeling is more like I'm running over those reflectors that are down the center of the road.

Haven't checked those. What's the proper way to check them. Is it to grab the drive shaft and try to turn it by hand or something? If I can, does it mean the ujoints are bad?

While I'm at it I probably need to do some greasing since I don't think it's ever been done since I've had it. I also forgot to mention that I can feel the problem in the gas pedal sometimes as well as the floor.

Vibes felt in the floor pan or the seats indicates the source is in the rear half of the truck somewhere. I suspect driveline. As someone has already mentioned, grease all the fittings on the rear driveshaft.

I really don't have any vibes. It's not that type of feeling. I greased everything up today but still have the feeling under the drivers side floor. My mother says it sounds more like a woooff.

Did you ever resolve this issue an determine the source of the problem?
I have a 2005 Tacoma with 171,000 Miles. I have been experiencing the same thing.

    Maybe:
    - something stuck in the tire tread (rock, nail, screw, etc).
    - an out-of-round tire
    - loose lug nuts

I have a lifted 14 Tacoma with the same issue. I was told steering rack bushings are weak from factory. I replaced today with poly. I still have the same feeling driving at low speeds.i have no clue what the problem is

In my truck I was having this problem and it ended up being the little rubber fender insert that hides the engine bay. It would flap in the wind and hit right under where I rest my clutch foot at.
