I like the color combo you chose. I opted for all black with the yellow "TRD Offroad" logo.

I have a question about the front seat back. The factory front seat back continues down to a flap that goes under the seat and is held in place by a couple elastic bands and clips. It is in the way of securing the WO front to back velcro strip. What did you do with the flap?

Sorry if we're straying a bit from Tacoma talk, but here goes...

I unhooked the elastic bands from the white plastic hooks under the seats (I later used these hooks to hook the black metal hooks on the covers into). Then I just folded that flap straight up against the back of the seat. The way they are attached to the bottom of the seat back lets the flip up without creating a crease or bulge. Then just held them in place and pulled the Wet Okoles down over them, so they are tucked upright between the seat and the cover.

    Hope that helps.

Don't think we're straying here as this has to do with the group buy.

Any way.... What you did is what I was going to do also. It never hurts to ask. I started to call WO, but forgot it was Sunday. :D

    Thanks for your input!

The factory flap tucked up out of the way real nice, but now the side airbag wire is in the way. I ordered covers for seat bags and they have the cutout on the side, but the front cover flap will not mate with the back cover because of the wire. The only way I see to make it work is to remove the seat, remove the wire clips, poke a hole in the WO flap and poke the wire through. Any thoughts?

Bought these about a year ago in the last group buy. They have held up great! You guys will definitely be happy with your purchase.

For those of us doing the arm rests, is one can of the 3M spray adhesive enough to do all 4 doors of the double cab?

They look great! The ones I had in my 1995 4Runner lasted forever - even through high school.

Yes it is. I did the front two doors (2 coats on each) and have plenty left. I also messed up 2x, so if you count that, I did 4 doors worth and still have plenty left.

I thought it would come out like spray paint, but it came out in an "up and down" line. It was pretty cool .. Just remember to give it 4-5 minutes to tack up

Went on a small road trip over the weekend. It's a good thing I got my covers in time. I had 4 passengers with me and we stopped for some snacks. At the end, there was chocolate smeared on the back seat cover. It would been really difficult to remove from the factory TRD seat material.

I have banned everything but water from my truck for this reason.

I know that I can eat food without making a mess, but everybody else that wants a ride never seems to be able to. :D

The airbag wire stumped me too at first. It's a pretty sturdy wire/set of wires so I just velcroed the neoprene and ignored the wires and it ended up stretching around jsust fine. Not very pretty but thats why there is that flat that goes over it all and hooks to the bottom of the seat.

Originally I was thinking about maybe just cutting a small slit into the neoprene to allow the airbag cable to not sit in, but as I velcroed everything up it turned out fine.

Normally, I'm the same way. They were considerate enough to ask if it was ok. I had the covers on so I went ahead and let them since it was just beef jerkey, candy and water.

Fast food like burgers, etc,. is still a no. Lettuce and tomatos always find their way out and land somewhere that's not protected.

Uh, chocolate is nasty... And even IF you can clean it from a regular seat, it will always look like someone's skid marks... That's why my kids are restricted to water (no juices in my car! They don't need the sugar and artificial colors anyway...) and dry snacks like crackers. No M&M's, no granola bars, no candy or gum... And no crayons either! They don't do well in Texas summer heat...

I hate the smell of fast food - I don't eat it for many reasons, but I don't let people have it in my car because that stench will infiltrate every porous surface in your car and stay there for days.

It shouldn't be all that bad - I didn't let mine air out at all before I installed them in my '95 4Runner and they weren't bad.

If the weather is nice, just roll down your windows and accelerate the breathing process. :D

Installed mine on Friday (yeah I know..no pics) and I did take the front seats out..Could have installed them with the seats in place but what a paint hat would have been..

The biggest thing I notice that I DO NOT LIKE is the seats are a lot warmer on the back and ass..

It's 40 degrees here and I was sweating with the heat off, had to turn the fan on and get a little cool, I am a hot blooded person by nature but this is somethign I need to keep an eye on if they are to hot then I can either pull them off or put one of those beaded things on to allow some air circulation...
