    So just a good soapy wash, take a wheel brush to it and it should be good enough?

    I did me Toyota emblem today, but it came out porous, I didn't like it so I ended up taking it off, is that just me or is plastidip porous and not smooth

    So spent my Saturday washing and plasti dipping. I am VERY happy with how the wheels turned out. I took my time, about 20-30 mins between coats for a total of 4. It was nice and easy using the index cards between the wheel and tire. I also did the valence, not so thrilled about it. The lines on each side are bad, can't see from afar but it sticks out to me like a sore thumb within 5 feet. I also did 4 coats on the valence. After the last coat, pulled tape away (while wet) as quickly as possible using a razor blade but the dip still wanted to peel away. I'll probably leave it on for a week or so then peel it off. My main objective was to get the wheels black and I am very happy with the outcome. I'll see how these hold up and will plan on a set of rockcrawlers down the road. I'm really liking black wheels on the blue truck.

    I was planning on shining up the tires but after seeing how the wheels turned out, I changed my mind. I'm thinking a good rain will cause some streaking from the tire shine residue onto the dipped wheels. Anyone shine their tires with dipped wheels?

    I didn't like the plasti dipping cuz for me I couldent get a clean edge on the lettering so it looked ghetto an it was hard to feel the excess plastidip between the small prerunner letters without messing up any letters

    Yeah that's the issue in having so how do you de/re badge the emblems?

    Iv heard of a process where dental floss was used to "saw" them off...

    Than what, just glue them back on?
