Tires on Backwards

Today my friend was looking at my tires and pointed out the tread design looks funny. They we noticed the tires on the drivers side are mounted backwards. The stock Dunlops get mounted in one direction. All 4 tires are mounted the same so the ones on the drivers side end up rotating in the wrong direction. Anyone else ever had this problem? My truck is new so it must have been a screw up from the factory.

Like said, I'm pretty sure those tires are not directional. Maybe you're looking at a different tire?

 

Do whatever it takes and get "REAL" tires on your truck. Use the Dunlops to plant petunias in your front yard. The Dunlops on my truck scared me and I replaced them at 1300 miles. I tried to get them off sooner, but couldn't.

 

They have the arrows on the sidewall. I have the stock Dunlops which I started to call Dunflops after it snowed a few weeks ago. I'm trying to get two pics posted but I'm having trouble, I'm at work and it seems photobucket is being blocked.

 

I feel lucky... my 2012 didn't come with Dunlops on it... Bridgestone Dueler H/T's instead. Wonder if they are all coming like that.

Some have come with those even when I purchased mine in 2007. Around me, the TRD Sports had the Deulers, TRD Off Roads had the Rugged Fails and the SR5's and base models had the Dunflops.

 

I noticed the same thing the OP is describing on my truck when I got it from the dealership. If you look at the the owners manual you just do front to back, no crossing.

Your welcome..No problem at all..Better to use a good title then something like "Weird Tires" Or "Strange Tire Problem" I tried to make the title right to the point.

 

my 2011 sport came with the bridgestones. i suspect someone bought the sr5 and bitched about how crappy the tires felt on it as did i when i drove the sr5. they swiped em offa yours and put em on another truck and gave you the crappy ones. id bitch and find out if in fact the sport is supposed to come with the bridgestones. do you have the 17 inch wheels?? 16s do not come on the sport...good luck

 

Yea I have the 17 inch wheels.

 

Some of the sports did come with Dunlops.
