Nothing - It's always worked when it's WARM out but NOT when it's cold out. It's warm this afternoon. Didn't work yesterday when it was cold. :notsure: Guy said it's in the door sensors... we shall see when he comes back

Strange problem. You have lubed the drive and the force needed for up and down is adjusted. I wonder if the door is binding in the track? Check the hinge bolts to make sure they are tight. Make sure the alignment of the door track is smooth where the sections bolt together for each side of the door.

I found a hinge screw in the driveway today. Replaced it with a carriage bolt. ;) My garage door is 47 years old and needs to be replaced. I keep fixing it.

My garage door quit working last winter on the COLDEST F'N day of the year. It was like -10*F out. It turned out to be something with the wire that had been run to the sensors. It was solid core and it would snap the second it was bent. I'm still not sure what happened to it. I ran new wire and it worked fine. It SUCKED working in the garage attic when it was that stinking cold out. My hands were frozen.

thats around the temp where competent electricians won't even try to pull wire, the insulation becomes too brittle and it will just break.

    PS -10F pfff, pansy.
