Hey guys this is my first post on here. Just bought my Tacoma last week and have been using this site a lot for information and ideas. Seems like a great forum

Got my lift on today, tires and wheels mounted etc...I love the way the truck looks but not sure the silver "beadlocks" go with the truck. They seem to make the wheels really small too. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or thoughts? I was thinking maybe having them powdercoated black to match the wheels or painted to match the color of the truck?

    Any ideas? Thanks Guys

Ill try to post pics if I can figure out how

There someone on here who painted them black but I don't recall his user name. Looked great.

Yea was gonna do black because I think it will flow good with the wheels but color matched would look sweet! Haven't seen too many with SWB "Beadlocks".

Hey man...I've done several different things with my wheels. To be honest, your truck actually looks really good with those wheels. But if you want to change them, I'll give you some pictures for some ideas.

This last setup is my current setup and it has really grown on me and I love it. FYI, I just used Rustoleum Truck Bed Liner spray on for the beadlock rings but powdercoating to match the actual wheel would look really good also I think. Hope this helped. PM me for any other questions.

Whatever you do dont color-match them! Stick with either silver or black to keep the wheels from distracting from the truck. A big mistake a lot of people do is try to incorporate the wheels of their car/truck into the overall design, and it usually ends up ruining the flow of the car and creating a really busy look that distracts from the overall appearance of the vehicle. Keep 'em stylish but subtle.

I say leave em as they are. They don't look that good on the other trucks I've seen with them, but they look especially great on yours.

See I think that detracts from the look of the truck. Supercars look great with color-matched wheels because the wheels are as part of the design as can be - they sit low inside and create a distinct yet flowing look. Trucks on the other hand (especially lifted trucks) have a different design philosophy, which is to have big, burly, utilitarian shoes that are distinctly separate from the otherwise burly yet stylish body of the truck. To try to tie the two together with color-matched wheels makes the whole look of the truck seem unbalanced. This is my own, personal opinion, of course :D

mitch- i got them from these guys off Ebay. They are a Toyota dealership in Flordia, I believe it was Clearwater Toyota Scion in Tampa. They were 980.00 last week when I bought em. Now they are 1080.00...

You will need the lug nut kit also. Bought it from them as well. TRD Part# PTR27-35100

Those rims are deadly and I think they look good any which way whether you paint them black or to match but IMO I like them just they way they are.

Here is a picture of color matched and it looks good as well. However it comes down to what you like. Good luck.
