With that kind of thinking that would mean half the Canadians on TW are honorary Texans too! Careful with that....

I was told that DPMS builds remingtons AR's :(

If you want something other than a .223/5.56 check out this site
    http://ar15performance.com/

with the R-15 series you are paying for the remington name and a cheap camo job

Gun brand depends on what kind of gun: rifle, pistol, or shotgun. I like the Remmy 700s for a good building platform. Out of the box I like some Savages and the higher end Remmys. Pistols I'm pretty diehard for Rugers when shooting 22s and all else is a Sig. I have shot and qualified with a lot of other pistols and I still prefer my Sigs. Shotguns I am a little more open minded. Remmington makes a damn good 87 and Mossberg's pump is just as good. Semiauto shotguns I prefer Benelli. I have seen them work without a single problem from duck hunting to busting locks.

    Just my 2 cents, YMMV.

Ive always been a fan of the rem 700s. My gun nut yncle said that savage rifles are about the most accurate gun for the money right outta the box. Just seein if yall have any exp with them.

Havnt shot enough pistols to even act like i know what im talkin about.

And benelli shot guns are the cream of the crop for under $800
