What exactly would I have to check to know that it's that for sure? And I forgot to mention I also had a road force balance a couple weeks ago, but it didn't do anything for me at all.

Do you still have the OEM tires/Wheels? You should change them to make sure that the vibs aren't coming from the wheels.

I do have them, but the tires that were on the OEM wheels are now on my aftermarket rims so it would be a pain in the butt to have to go get all that changed over. Someone was telling me something this evening about hub centric rings or something like that? Do you know anything about those?

I had the tires road force balanced a couple weeks ago, and the fronts ride smooth but at low speeds the back (bounces) pretty bad, I don't know what else to do as far as balancing. That makes for the 4th time (including getting the rims put on) that I've had them balanced already.

I'm not sure exactly what that is or what it would do? And what would you suspect as far as the bad whirring sounds and the pulsing feel and sound? I don't know exactly how to describe the sound but its kind of like (vum vum vum vum vum continuously)

hub centric wheels line up from the hub I think, Which lug nuts do you have? The ones with the long thread helps to aline the wheel with the studs.

I don't know about the sounds you are having but this would be a way to start.

Well, I got the ones that came with my rims but the shop got them mixed with other lug nuts they had, they're the same size I think (biggest issue was mine were brand new and these had some rust on them ). Would those hub centric rings help anything or is that just kind of grabbing at straws?

Do you need hub centric rings for your wheels? When I bought a set a wheels for my wife's jetta from Discountires they decided that they rings were not necessary because they didn't have the correct size, on my way home the car shake a lot on the freeway, I went back and complain about it and they got them in the next day. The car runs really smooth with the center hub rings. I have Mojave on my truck and they don't need the center rings around the hubs. When I bought them from discount they gave me new lugs nuts (the ones on the second picture with the long neck) but I wanted black ones so I ordered a set from Wheelers, I installed them on one wheel and it didn't feel right because they weren't centering the wheel correctly and I sold them.

I'm not really for sure but I think I might need them. These rims have never rode well, even since day 1 but after a road force balance they still ride like crap. And I have the same tires I had on my old rims and they rode perfectly fine on the stock ones. And where did you get the long neck lug nuts? Maybe I could try that too.

Already did that, got the 3 degree shims from toytec

I got them from Discount tires, They gave them to me when I bought the wheels. I would just get try different wheels. Where did you buy them from? You can probably go back and complain, They should be able to get you a new set. if you didn't have any problems before the wheels then I would start from that.
Don't waste any more money and go back where you bought the wheels.

Can you post a close picture of one of the front wheels?

I bought the wheels from a local place but they just ordered them from a catalog. I have always had the balance issue with the rear wheels with my rims but the vibrations and pulsing weren't there until after the lift so I know they came from that. and I don't have one right now but I can try to get one for you. I'm in class at the moment

My reason for thinking it comes from something in my driveline somewhere is the fact that when I put it in 4x4 the pulsing sound and vibrations are immediately gone and immediately come back when I take it back out of 4 wheel drive. The bouncing in my rear end is where the wheel issue comes in..which I'm thinking is a separate issue altogether.

Jebus man, I just caught up and read through your last couple of pages and your truck seems to be the nightmare lift! That sucks man, I hope it's something stupid like the wrong lugs.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the Tacoma should not need a hub centric ring since the wheels are not supposed to necessarily be centered around the hub. They are instead lug-centric so it's more important to make sure you have the correct lug nuts to keep the wheel properly centered.

I know man, it's been problem after problem it seems like. If I didn't like how it looked so much it'd be long gone by now. But I hadnt heard that..maybe where my lugs got messed up is causing some big problems. Is there a certain type I should order? Im up for trying about anything at this point.

Try to look for some one in your area with the same truck and ask him to try his wheels/tires to see if the problem is the lift.

Be worth trying. I just need to get it fixed before something breaks, like I said I know I've got a tire/wheel issue but I don't see how that is all of my problem when I can put it in 4X4 and the symptoms other than bouncy rear end disappear completely. If it was the wheels/tires causing it, I would think it wouldn't matter 4X4 or not it would always be there. The truck has me baffled

When you are in 2WD the truck pushes and the 4wd pulls the truck forward that makes a difference. if you haven't done anything to the 4wd system then the problem is on the wheels/shocks.

PM KPT, he's not up on which lugs work with aftermarket wheels. I'm still running stock. Wheeler's off road sells aftermarket lugs that could help but you'd need to know which ones to get (or make the tire shop install since they should have known better in the first place).
