After finally getting my pro comp 7089 wheels since they've been back ordered, i called up discount tires to order my tires and now these are sold out and wont be back in for three months!?!
Does anybody have any suggestions on where else to check? I was hoping to find them local so i can have them mounted and balanced too.

wow that sucks man. That was the exact combo I was looking at till I fell into a killer deal on Mojaves and KM2's. It'll look sweet once you get them.
Tirerack has good prices and I think they have a way to find a local installer too IIRC.

you could try the tire rack site and have them send it to your local discount tire store. or go to another dealer and have them compare prices

Try tire rack or tirecrawler.com. tirecrawler.com has good prices and you can have shipped for free to allen tire co in southern calif. locations then have them install. I actually looked up allen tire and the address for allen tire in downey is the same address as tirecrawler.com.....huh! hahaha.

Well to tell you the truth a tire says everything about the truck. my duratracs have 35k on them sense last December...... and i took them to get rotated and balanced, and they told me that i still got another 60k+ until i need to start worrying about getting some other ones. they ride pretty smooth and there really quiet, and in the snow......there amazing.

I ran into the same problem last year when ordering my 285/70/17's. I called Discount Tire, Kauffman tire, Big10 Tires, and Goodyear. All of them told me they were backordered and they couldn't get any.

I called a friend of a friend up who works at local mom & pop tire place and his supplier had them in stock. I had them put on the next day.

When I bought mine from discounttiredirect.com in 2009 I think i paid $163 per tire for 265/75/R16 C-rated, now they are $203.77. The prices of everything is getting out of control !

These tire discussions based on ones opinion are a joke.

See how easily I can turn it around with FACTS.

Please . Goodyear wins wars . Like actual wars with their Kevlar and the fed is running duratracs on their fleets . The goodyear is tried and true and will get 60k+. Perfect for everywhere. BFG wear quick. Who buys tires for performance.:cool:

The price of oil has steadily gone up since then, that increases both the cost of rubber production and the cost of transportation.
