I didn't see the game, so I really can't speak to your concerns about the calls. The head ref isn't supposed to watch the ball, though. On pass plays, he keeps his eyes on the QB. You'll notice that the guy in the white hat is always the one to throw the roughing the passer penalty, and he's always the first official there when a QB is sacked or taken down to make sure the players play fair/safe.

well i hope yall win out except for against tech

i don't think every close hold should have been called but you'd think at least one of the many would have. and i also didn't' see the holding on the int play.

the team wasn't booed during the game at all. the refs are a different story. lastly wake is arguably as good or better than ecu, navy, vandy, kentucky, and ut. cu won even though they had 3 turnovers. doesn't happen very often unless a solid team.

I'd bet Houston still gets left out

But thatd sure be fun to watch develop

LSU/OKSt lose, as well as a couple of the top 1 loss teams...

I don't however think that the voters will let it happen without an SEC team

    You're an idiot.

And they shouldn't. OK St and LSU lose, Bama would jump back up there into the game. And I don't think you can really make a good case as to why they shouldn't.

Honestly, I just want Oklahoma and Oregon to lose.

Just saw this stat. Haven't done any research to confirm it, but one of my buddies that's a huge UGA/Sports fan in general just posted it...he's usually got pretty accurate stats.

Against UF, UT, and Auburn, UGA has had more rushing ATTEMPTS than any of the three have had rushing YARDS. Auburn was the closest, at 51 yards last weekend.... UGA with 56 rushing attempts. UF and UT both had negative rushing yards.

UF, UT, and Auburn have COMBINED for a total of 12 rushing yards against UGA's defense.

I love the SEC East (UF) but I'd really like to see a SEC team in the Championship game (referring to a SEC upset). Well, like dwalden said Alabama could still jump...

Clemson fans usually texts my uncle when they are winning. When clemson was loosing they wasnt even texting him. When they won he got a but load of text messages. Shows us gamecocks can beat Clemson and they not all that good. You can say the same thing about carolina's offense until lattimore is back in the game then everybody will shut up about carolina's offense.

He's actually the leading rusher in college football. It makes no sense why he is not mentioned for the Heisman.

    According to ESPN
    1 David Wilson, RB VT, ATT:210, YDS:1360, YDS/A:6.5, LG:57, TD:7
    2 Ronnie Hillman, RB SDSU, ATT:223, YDS:1278, YDS/A:5.7, LG:99, TD:13
    3 Bobby Rainey, RB WKU, ATT:289, YDS:1254, YDS/A:4.3, LG:56, TD:9
    4 Montee Ball, RB WIS, ATT:185, YDS:1242, YDS/A:6.7, LG:54, TD:23
    5 Zach Line, RB SMU, ATT:208, YDS:1224, YDS/A:5.9, LG:46, TD:17
    6 LaMichael James, RB ORE, ATT:153, YDS:1207, YDS/A:7.9, LG:90, TD:12
    7 Trent Richardson, RB ALA, ATT:204, YDS:1205, YDS/A:5.9, LG:76, TD:18
    8 John White IV, RB UTAH, ATT:238, YDS:1191, YDS/A:5.0, LG:62, TD:12
    9 Henry Josey, RB MIZZ, ATT:145, YDS:1168, YDS/A:8.1, LG:68, TD:9

Indeed, we could potentially have a 3 way tie atop the SEC West,If Arkansas 'beats LSU next Friday, which I'm hoping to god doesn't happen, and since LSU beat Bama and Bama beat Arkansas then it's gonna become even more of a mess than it is now.

My prediction is LSU v. OSU in the Championship

    Geaux Tigers!

Bama's ONLY hope to get into the SECC is for Arkansas to beat the shit out of La State (and jump them in the BCS poll) the same weekend that Alabama beats the shit out of auburn so that Bama also leap-frogs the tigers.

It won't happen. La State is your 2011 SEC West Champs for sure, and likely the SEC Champs and National Champs.

There are more scenarios that put us in the NC game, but OBVIOUSLY Okie State has to lose, and the only chance of that happening is if a team that got beat by hapless Tubberville's Texas Tech pirates gets up and beats them.

If I had to make an argument for Alabama to make the NC game in front of the other 1-loss schools it would be that Bama lost to La State by just 3 in OT, in a game where (some) people say the Tide out-played the tigers in 2 of three phases and failed to capitalize on opportunities. (Yes, I know it was still a loss, and I'm not even saying we out-played them. Just what some people are saying.)

    Other 1-loss contenders:
. OU - Lost to 28 point underdog T Tech, who has proven the last few weeks that they SUCK
. Oregon - Also lost to La State, but by 13 (and one TD was in 'trash time' at the end)
. Okie St - Would have lost in the last weekend of the year... usually drop.

It all has to go down like this.
Bama has to lose to Auburn in the Iron Bowl.
Arkansas needs to defeat LSU then win the SEC championship against Georgia.
Okie State needs to finish OU.
It would help for USCw to beat Oregon as well.

Arkansas jumps from #6 to #2 in the BCS to face Okie State in the MNC.

Um, a Hog fan can dream, right?
