    Hey guys
This id my first post (what a great site!!)

Question; I have a 06 sport Prerunner 2 wd with 17" shinny sport rims .
I like the looks of the 16"offroad rims,I was looking to buy these and paint them flat black to save some$$$. They seem pretty abundant on Craigs List for cheap.
Will they fit on my truck with the brake calipers or any other problems?
    Thanks for your time
    Dave

I also wanted to do this to buy new tires and they might be a bit cheaper and like the idea of more rubber.
If anyone has actually done this please pipe in and or a pic or 2 would be great also!!!!!
    Thanks again

I went the other way and swapped 16" baja wheels (the ones that come on the Rugged Trail package) for 17" TRD Sport wheels. The 16" TRD Off Road wheels will fit your truck perfectly, there is no difference in the driveline components or mounting point between any of the 6 lug Tacomas (4wd and PreRunners).

    Well that's great news!!!
I just thought with all the talk of alot of 16" aftermarket rims not fitting ,I was thinking that the brake calipers might be bigger on the sport models.

I think there's one particular 16" aftermarket wheel that won't fit but for the most part 16" wheels will fit if you get the proper backspacing. The brakes on all the 6 luggers are the same so if they fit one 6 lug model, they'll fit all the 6 lug models. Regardless, the TRD Off Road wheels will fit on your TRD Sport since they are OEM.
