Why have something that is going to get scraped up powder coated? Seems like a waste of money to me. Powder coating will not hold up any better against rocks than a $3 can of spray paint. Touch up is way easier too. Just sayin.

A small handful of select mods.
I will show you a MC (sean266's:D) in Moab next year. My reason for powder coat is for a strong primer and base coat that get easily touched up with rattle can. See the areas that you don't scrape are still subject to rust with a shitty $3 rattle can spray job. I keep the rust away longer and just have to rattle a bit here and there as I use it. Just my feelings on the subject. :bananadead:

Same reason I powdercoated my bumpers  I scraped the shit outta my rear bumper but didn't break through the primer, just some light sanding and touch up and it's good as new!

True, but the year of the truck does matter anyway. See VVVVVV

Hmm, took a look and saw pics in one thread that looked like someone had done it but the bellcranks were rotated up to be even or above the axle. Not sure how you would do that without swapping out the axle.

Seems to me unless you can move the bellcranks you would need the cable in the same spot unless there was a pulley system just behind the bellcrank. But that's a lot of work for a problem that took me 10 seconds to fix with a pair of pliers.
