Sounds like someone is still grieving after losing the cup. Thomas and Rask can and will take a hit. Just don't be surprised when the whole team responds.

You can't honestly believe Lucic's version of events that he had his head down , didn't see Miller and couldn't avoid him , can you ?

I agree Thomas will take a hit , probably next time they play the Sabres , and I would expect the Bruins to respond , same as the Sabres should have .

 

I believe he had his head down most of the way, as is his style, and he could have done more to avoid Miller. Miller is also to blame here, he could have the played the puck differently or remained in the crease. The concussion is also due to Seguin being hooked into Miller, not the hit from Lucic.

WTF???

Why did the NHL leave Seguin off the All Star Ballot but put Cindy Crybaby, who has not played a single game this season on it?

 

Clearly another cheap-shot from a Lucic. I did't believe a word he said in his press conference.
As for Miller, I wouldn't be surprised if he asked for a trade....his teamates didn't have his back. I don't care if the game was in OT.....YOU NEVER LET THAT SHIT GO! No heart on that Sabre squad....time to bring back Brad May.

 

Call him whatever you want, he was honest that evening during the post-game scrum with the media. Gotta like that in a player.

For the Lucic play, I think he had to say his head was down then "braced for impact" because he had a call with Shannahan. So he had to play stupid there.

Video clearly shows his arms following through after the hit. I think he was frustrated that he pushed the puck too far ahead and took out his anger on Miller. What's a goalie supposed to do in that situation? Just allow the forward to pick the puck back up and make a play on you?

I'm a B's fan, and I didn't like it one bit. At least take a run at Erhoff - what a waste of cap room. How many years until the NYR sign that idiot and bury him in Hartford?

 

I would not disagree , except to point out that Miller would not expect a hit as this has been the precedence in the NHL for quite some time . Players just don't run over the goalie like that .

Looks like the Pens still own Varlamov. He was awful for the Avs, as was their team tonight. Pens look pretty solid. Is Crosby really on the all star ballot? That's pretty lame.
