I believe most everyone just heats the sticker up with a hair dryer then peels the sticker off.... then use "goo-gone" to remove the residue (if any)

+1 on that. I used to detail cars, that is by far the safest and easiest method. Get it nice and toasty & it should peel off real easy... Also make sure to polish the area around it afterwards - underneath the sticker wil be all perfectly smooth, unlike the surround (tiny scratches from washing, brush, ect.) That'll make the removal flawless.

Don't even need to heat it, though that does help.

I did mine on a 70 degree overcast day...just get an edge started and they peel without any trouble. Goo gone, windex, whatever to clean up the residue. Just make sure you're not using something that's gonna strip your clearcoat/paint (i.e. no TURPENTINE).

Yeah.....Florida heat warmed mine up enuf....but the hair dryer does help.

I used a spray on carnauba cleaner/wax to take off the bit of residue.

Best of luck...You'll like the result!!

    That's de-badging.

Use heat + fishing line to cut the adhesive behind the badge.

Peel em' off. Use a hair dryer a good distance away to heat them up. They'll come off with just your fingernail.

Cool, Thanks. That is what I thought needed to be done but figured asking was the best way to know for sure. I guess it'll be easy with the plug in the bed of my truck. woot. :)

3m stripe remover wheel, comes off clean in seconds and completely safe for your paint and clear coat.

The heat can damage your paint (if done wrong), lots will say they did it and it was fine, which is true if you do it right. However it may not always be immediately visible damage. Likewise with chemicals you put on the paint, they may not cause immediate damage, but break down the clear coat properties so it doesn't last as long.

Ha, sorry, don'tbe scared. Like I said, lots of people have done it with no visible damage, i personally prefer the safest method possible, however I am anal about it. If you want to spend the 30 bucks get the 3m wheel, otherwise a good combination of heat, Goo gone, and fingernails works fine. Just don't over heat is the biggest caution and what ever adhesive remover you use make sure it is safe for car paint.
