saw 2.0's and spacers?

    hey was wondering if i ran the saw's at just under 2.5inches of lift and ran a 3/4 top plate spacer kit to get the full 3 inches and not have to worry about maxing the coilover out. or should i just run the coilover at full 3 inches of lift.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
    I was warned about getting the 2.0s on my 05+ Taco... they'll heat up faster as there is less fluid inside...

    Chris will know what I'm talking about...

    I ended up getting Camburg (SAW) 2.5 C/Os

    Unless you are gonna run aftermarket UCA's, I wouldnt.

    ya all be running tc uca's is this a totally bad idea or a good one. and what are some of the negatives u have heard about the saw 2.0 co are they worth keeping?

    I have never tried a 3/4" spacer on top of a coilover, so I cant give an opinion on if its bad or good. Like Del said, the 2.0's have a smaller body diameter than the 2.5's, so they dont hold alot of oil, and will heat up fast and fade in hard/fast off road use. They are a fine shock for light to medium off roading. Depending on what you do off road, I think they are definatly worth keeping.

    Lifted with Fox 2.5 Black & Chrome coil-overs, rear has Fox 2.0 Black & Chrome piggyback shocks, KMC 17" wheels wrapped with 285/75/17 BFG All Terrains, Total Chaos upper control arm, Alpine DVD doubledeck, and Volant cold air intake.
    I have the Fox 2.5 coil-overs on my truck with the Total Chaos UCA. A good rule of thumb is once you have around three inches of preload in the spring go up in spring weight. I really wouldn't recommend putting a spacer on the top of the shock to achieve this. It will change the overall and compressed length on the shock and could result in damage to the uniball from maxing out and the shock when it bottoms before the truck.
