    Guys,
I followed the instructions on greasing my driveshafts found by searching but can't get grease to purge from all four caps on the rearmost ujoint on the rear shaft--only the one closest to the grease nipple. I have tried the pushing and pulling method on dana/spicers site but it does not help. Does anyone have any ideas? I saw another post where it says you can tap the inboard yoke with a hammer to relieve pressure on the cap seal--I really don't like using a hammer on my vehicle. Has anyone else had this issue? This was my first time greasing at first oil change at 5k.

Good question. I never took notice to see where the grease on mine was purging from. I'm guessing I should of looked at that a long time ago based on the amount of sludge I have purged out of them.

Well with the other joints all caps seemed to purge at the same time. It seems no matter how much I pump in (making a huge mess of course) it only purges out of the one cap.

Bravo to you for actually greasing your zerks on the first oil change. As far as grease coming out, are you sure grease is going in? I've had issues with clogged grease fittings and also faulty grease guns. If you are really getting grease in there, but no exit I wouldn't be too concerned. There is some in there at least in that case.

It should purge from both and you should purge it until the grease is clean. If it doesn't come out from one side contaminants are trapped as well as grease that will eventually fail.

See all the red crap (Mobil 1)

Sadly I have no answers in regards to helping with purging though.

Grease is definitely going in through the fitting and coming out the seal of the cap with the fitting. I am using mobil 1 syn grease which is red whereas the old stuff coming out is black. I am sure there is a different chemistry in the two greases and thus I would like to only have one kind of grease in there...
