What are the specs on the truck that you were quoted $34,600 on?

Yea - I took a picture of the window sticker...price of the tacoma was $40,895! The lift added $9895 to the bill. Plus, if you were to finance, it costs you even more in the long run...crazy!

I would be interested to see what lift they install. Good to have the family connection. In Texas I have read that some dealers will install the 5100 billies and AAL set-up as well as leveling kits. I am sure they will do just about anything if the buyer is willing to pay.

    Good luck!

For what it is worth, I agree. I paid for all the TRD Sport upgrades and will end up ripping most of them out in the end. Waste money, although I do love those comfy sport seats

Just got off of the phone with him this morning. It turns out the truck is going to have to arrive before I add any upgrades to it, so that $34,600 was adjusted to $32,900 with the possibility of going a little lower. USAA pricing is at around $33,009 so I cant complain. He is trying to find more rebates that he may be able to get me. So far it is for a Nautical Blue DCLB 4X4 TRD sport (non upgrade) with Entune, DRL, All weather mats and Tow Pkg. No news on the Supercharger yet. Still working with TRD but was told that if there are modifications to be made to some components to fit the SC in, they probably don't exist yet. He's also trying to see if he can get me better than 1.79% APR for 36 months. He said it's hard to find rebates on 4X4's because it is snow season there and everybody wants one so the dealer isn't likely to offer any more discounts.

    Overstock has it at $32,435++.

I realize you don't want to beat these guys up too bad since they are family but I would see if they could go down to $32,000++ on it before any upgrades.

    Just my opinion.

Sounds like a plan. He is still going to get back to me with a more solid price. So far every price he has giving me he said you shouldn't pay this much, but here is what the price is right now ( still working additional military discounts too). The truck should arrive in about 3 weeks...I on the other hand have about five weeks until I arrive. When the truck is in we will be able to solidify a price that I will pay when I show up in Dec. I was worried about it showing up to early and having a different dealer sell it. He said it's the first Tacoma on the lot he is getting with Entune and the first Nautical blue. He told me when it arrives he is going to take it off the lot and bring it to his place so it is not sold. I guess out of sight out of mind right. I kinda wanted to put the first couple miles on it, but 30 or so miles to start with isn't too bad considering i'm getting what I want.

He should just be able to mark it as sold and park it in the back lot or in the shop or something? I'd see if he could do that.

I'm not to worried about it, he's taking it to the shop to get the lift too. I'm driving 1600 miles to go get it and be home just in time for Christmas and we are going to do the deal in his living room just before Christmas eve. The price will be worked out before I arrive no doubt.

I put down a "hold" deposit (refundable) on 10/21 for a truck that was supposed to be delivered around mid November (DCLB, 4x4, TRD Sport, non-entune, Black). They couldn't give me an exact date as there wasn't a manufacturing date set yet. As of last week, they still don't have a date =(.

If I wanted to settle for white, silver, or mag grey, I could pick it up right away...

    Just the basics
Shop around to get the one you want or maybe use costco's car buying service if you have access to it. Best option is USAA if you are military.

Fink, I hear you always talk about overstock.com prices and I am familiar with USAA. It is interesting to see that overstock.com was actually cheaper by about $570:eek:. I took a double take and checked myself and sure enough it is exactly as you said. Not that I didn't believe you ha ha ha. Thats something to take into consideration if you can use USAA you should try both to see which one was cheaper with theoptions you choose.

edit...I just priced the truck with all the options I want on both USAA and Overstock and the total in the end is exactly the same.

One thing I should point it is when I priced your truck, I used a California zip code just to be sure it wouldn't come in lower, as prices on our trucks seem to always be higher in Cali and I wasn't sure where you'd be getting the truck.

I did the same for both trucks the same zip code in CA. Interesting.

Does anybody know how I can find out which dealership these numbers belong to? My vehicle inquery report says Current dealer 150-02052, Wholesale Dealer 02052, and Previous Dealer 00150. Thanks for any help.
