The TSB comes with clear DTRL lenses. Has anyone else been tempted to put the 3057's in instead of the amber 3057A's?

What do you think? Will this look bad with orange blinker lenses?

The running image is terrible. I'm going to re-do that one with a better camera, but for now, suffice to say, they look similar to fog lamps.

Everyone I asked here in Texas said this is legal, too. If you know differently, holler. Otherwise it's an aesthetics question.

I put clear bulbs in my 09 several years ago. I like the dtrl look better then the parking light on look. It is legal in TX as I checked txdot regs and they state the front turn signals can be amber or white. If you like the look, should be all good.

Nice! Us Texans must think alike :D

I was all gung-ho for this idea until I realized the side blinkers were still orange (my hope was to eliminate ALL orange up front for a clean blue/white look), so now I'm questioning the white/orange blinker combo.

I have the 3057's in there now and will run with them for awhile, but if people start laughing, I may take them out. :spy:

Be aware that the side markers need to be amber to stay legal though. Same with the front side reflectors.

Yeah, I did internalize your emphasis on FRONT blinkers. Dam and blast. :pout:

Legal and reality are different things though. Haerd on anyone getting pulled over for a clear side marker or reflector?? I know i haven't. Your call though. I like the clear front look, but plan to stay legal myself

Forgot to tell you that you can take the side marker lights out, tape them to a soda straw and give them a light coat of silver engine paint. A light coat will remove the egg yoke look and the amber will still shine through.

Auto parts store. But the paint should just be a high heat paint. BBQ paint should also work, not sure if they make silver though.
