wobbley at 60ish mph

I have an 09 dbl cab. I put on a set of Hankooks 265/75/16's Sometimes at high speeds 60-70 the truck feels like it almost gets wobbely.. Its kinda hard to explain. The truck will bounce up and down more. Its not a consistant smooth roll. Like I said some times it happens and sometimes it does not. Is this due to a balancing issue?

thats funny i have a 96 with hankooks and it does the same past like 67 or so it stops and before 50 it doesnt do it. ball joints are good balance is good and alignment is good i cant figure mine out either

 

Sounds like a resonance issue. When the tires get up to a certain rpm they will resonate until they reach a higher rpm.

 

Yep,, thats it.. do you think it is tire specific related? Should I take it back and get a different tire?

 

idk if it's tire related but id bring to the attention of wherever you got them from. i finally just got used to it but it makes me nervous with my wheel spacers and all

Yes, try a different brand or model of tire.

 

Not with out major trial and error, that is with out swapping tires.

Yes it is! But discount is usually very good at working with you to fix the problem.

You might want to get your tires re-balanced, just to be sure. I have a set of cooper At3's in 265/70r16 and I get a little steering wheel wobble/shake at about 60-65ish. Gonna rotate them and see if it helps at all. Just my $0.02

 

Hmm my steering wheel dose not shake, that seems fine. The truck just gets bumpy as described above.

 

My whole truck shakes a little also, but I get it the most in the steering wheel
