I have the most basic of trucks, its a 2.4L, regular cab, SR5, auto, and its a step side 2WD, 5 lug. Iwould like to lift my truck to make it appear to be the same hieght as a stock Pre- Runner TRD. I know very little about lifting cars but all i know is that im being looked down on by the looser in his prius next to me. Ive searches for lift kits around the web but everyone makes them for the pre runners, can any one please help me to make my ride look a whole lot better???????

The reason I got the truck because itches given to me as a first car, and being a first car I want to hold on to it as long as I can, but can you give me a opinion on how a 2.5pm body lift and leveling out front end would look?

It will make the tires you have look too small. You'll then want new rims/tires. You'll be back asking how to improve your power and mpg since the tires made it drop 5-10mpg, so now you'll get new gears. Now you'll think you have an offroad capable truck and will start playing and hit the limitations of spacer/body lifts, 5 lugers, and 2wd open diffs and will ask us how much it will cost to convert to 4wd, which btw is LOTS. There is a reason soo many have recomended getting an actual prerunner or 4x4. It is where you will end up eventually anyways, and in the long run will save you time and more importantly money.

You will be happier keeping it stock and getting good mpg's, buy other toys, they are more fun than you can have in a truck

Wanting the OP to sell his 2WD. LOL

But you are correct in that the only real product is the AAL. Nothing really safe for the front.

If you want a truck that sits higher buy a 4x4. 5 lugs aren't made to be lifted.

If you insist on keeping your truck and want to customize it, just lower it. It'll drive better, look better, hell, it'll just BE better.

Why do you want to lift it again? Because someone in a Prius looked at you funny?

Apparently the truck means something special because it was a gift given to you. Why not enjoy it as it was meant to be? Who cares what other people think? The truck is special to you and that's all that should matter. :)

If you want it to look good, keep it clean, take care of it and trust me, those who appreciate a truck in good condition will be drooling over it. They will!
