ATO Skid Plate Group Buy!!! - Ends 11/30

I can't speak to the fit of the 2012 but I don't think there should be any issues. Even if you picked up all the skids it's only an additional 178lbs you shouldn't have any suspension problems. Think of it like an extra passenger that protects your truck from damage.

Also the weight of the skids are more spread out than a heavy front bumper hanging all the weight on the front end of the truck.

 

Then you leave it in a catch 22 situation. You have 40 guys each waiting for each other to sign up but nobody does cuz they are waiting for the other 39. The way I see it is the group buy should probably not have discount levels. It should be if I get x number of buyers then this is the cost. If I don't get x then there is no group buy and nobody is obligated to buy. Most of us got in on the buy based on meeting the best discount level because of the earlier feeler. Now it appears many people were either full of shit or are not smart enough to figure out waiting kills the whole concept.

You don't have to be a rock crawler to need these skids. These are a benefit for ALL Tacoma owners that take their trucks offroad - mild to extreme. I have a 2011 DCLB and just in the 1 year I've had the truck, there have been a number of times collecting firewood and going off pavement where these skids would have helped. I have the optional Toyota skid plate and as careful as I've been, it's taken it's share of dents. I don't even try to go anywhere off the actual trail, but going over washouts, etc. takes its toll.

The first piece of armor I got were a beefy set of sliders. I was wavering between ATO armor and sliders but I am damn glad I didn't get the ATO armor first so I can get in on this group buy.

 

It will kind of depend on the quantity that ends up getting ordered. I should be able to get them knocked out pretty quick after the group buy closes but that will also depend on how quickly everyone pays and how quickly my supplier knocks things out.

 

No unfortunately they won't. I've wanted to work out some skids for the DB guys for awhile now but never been able to get a truck for mock up.
