    It should work.

The changes to the 2012 ( gen 2.00001) were mostly cosmetic, the suspension is the same IIRC

x2, if thats what he wants, its his truck and he shouldnt have others tell him what to do with it. a lot of people hate on the 6inch kits but personally if your not going to wheel hardcore than its perfect to have a sexy ass truck.

Exactly. I don't wheel my truck and I put a winch on the front. I might use it to pull some cars onto the road this winter but that's about it. I also put a nice 3 inch kit on only to decide it's not tall enough. I'm putting a 6 inch on when I go on vacation in Florida in February. Probably gonna reuse the Eibach coils and front 5100's as well as the AAL if I can. These kits are strong enough for moderate wheeling and perfect for mall crawlers who just want their truck to stand out.

Thanks sir. I was looking at your build and the debate over what lift you have. I think its the discontinued Skyjacker 4 or 5 inch DB kit. You likely do have three inch spacers on your struts but even the Procomp stage one has those. With the DB and longer spindles of those kits the factory strut is too short and that's an inexpensive way to lenghten them. It was a good kit a far as I'm concerned. Your lift is just a couple inches bigger than you thought. There was no spindle lifts back then so that's why the previous owner had to go with a DB lift. It looks awesome BTW. I had a 95 like yours and I loved that little truck.

EDIT: If memory serves me right, some kits back then came with new modified uca's instead of longer spindles. Can you stick a camera in ther and take a pic. I'm just curious.

Ya but you have made this point more than once in various threads. I know you don't like DB lifts but it's not gonna ruin his truck man. If I lived in California I wouldn't get one either. I'd probably get a LT kit or at least some Fox or King coilovers. Where you wheel (if you do) and how you use your truck should determine what suspension you buy.

exactly...im not gonna do hardcore wheeling..i dont plan to do a huge hill climb or crawl some boulders..if i wanted too i would build me a "trail" truck. its gonna be good enough to do light off road and probably go the same places where you go with your 3" lift and at the end my truck would still look better with the 6" so dont hate..we all can be friends lol

I have to read it first to know if it bugs me. Sorry I should have put a smiley in there somewhere. Didn't mean to come off like an ass.

As someone who has read way too much info on Drop Bracket lifts I'm gonna say yes. The underpinnings of the truck have not changed.

Tacomas are damn near exactly the same. Only differences are 1st and 2nd gen. I just put a 2006 black trim piece for around the radio, with vents and all, on my 2011 Tacoma. haha
