Short bed bedding

So winter is coming soon and to be honest I am too tender a flower to sleep in a tent outside all the time. So I am looking to outfit the back of my shortbed a bit. Anyone done this? Any suggestions? I mean I'll have light, tunes...heck, is there a tiny mobile heater that can plug into the bed outlet? Also, what do you put down to sleep on? Inflatable? Small pad? Raised bed? Thanks gentlemen!

 

In previous trucks, I've purchased a small bit of carpet and carpet padding, the same type you would purchase for your home. Laid my rubber bad mat over each, traced the outline, then cut to size. Cheap, comfortable and looks pretty good. Also easy to pull out and set to the side when you need to haul the dirty stuff as opposed to the hassle of the bed rugs I've seen designed for trucks...

 

That could work. I am hoping to take it up a notch and really make it comfy. Anyone else?

Memory foam cut to the shape of the bed, go for the thick stuff, it'll act as insulation as well as support. Or, as mentioned above, the truck bed air mattress is nice to sleep on. For heat, try those Coleman propane lanterns. Lots of light and they will heat up that small of a space in no time, just be careful with the flame obviously. Best part is it won't drain your battery.

 

i sleep in the back of my truck all the time. i have a leer 100 r cap, truck bed air mattress (supper comfy) and also a propane heater that i mounted to the bed rails. the heater is a catalytic heater, and is safe for tents, however they do eat up allot of oxygen, so ca]rack a window., it throws off allot of heat so an open window will be just fine, i also have a small electric fan that i use in the summer.

I have a cheap 15 $ inflatable bed from walmart and it works fine for me
