    always though mountain biking with my gear and camping would be awesome....i would be able to cover 2x the ground as well, but bikes are so freaking expensive

    They don't have to be. I just bought an '85 road bike for $100, put some new tires on it, sprayed some wd40, and it's good as new.

    Ive tried and it definitely in NOT easy. Cant really shift your weight around that much on the bike. They make these trailer like things though that would maybe be easier

    I've bike camped a few times. Never anything too crazy. Few road tours where I've used panniers and a few mtb camp outs with a B.O.B trailer.

    If you were gonna go on a bicycle, a trailer is the way to go. Bike handles as it would normally. The setup is longer but not wider. Panniers make the bike a bit wider. There are a lot of people who travel with panniers too but the trailer is my preference.

    A trailer is heavier than panniers making the trade off where the weight is carried. Over the wheels and higher vs. lower and behind you. The B.O.B attaches to the rear wheel skewer (uses a whole different skewer and QR). I'd say the biggest advantage of a trailer is bike handling.

    It should be fairly easy. The trailer is hinged right were the piece comes off of the back of the bike--this allows it to move left and right as well as up and down.

    I have nothing to add picture wise.

    I think what he meant was that some parts of Yelly are only open to fly fishing...hence you need to be a 'real' fisherman...but you already are.
