Does anyone else feel like everyone's truck is taller than theirs?

OK, this might be a reflection on some deep hidden insecurity or something, but I feel like every tacoma I see on the road is taller than mine. The 5 luggers are definitely shorter, but every 4x4 or prerunner looks taller. I know lifts are common but in the general population there can't be more than 30% or so of tacos that get lifts, can there? I even have 265/75R16s on there so I'm sitting a little higher than sock 245s...

    Anyone else feel this way?

I think it's just perception...from inside the cab the truck feels smaller.

On this site, a lot of the other member's Tacomas are sitting higher than mine. Otherwise, no. I sit higher than a stock Tacoma.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I think they are all small compared to the fullsize diesels we have had in the family! We used to have a 02 crew cab Duramax, best towing truck ever, then dad upgraded to a 10 Duramax extended cab, it never seemed to tow like the 02 did. Sadly we had to sell our camper this last spring for the money and now the truck is just a waste of space and diesel so dad is gonna either sell it or trade it on a Tacoma AC with a V6 and an automatic, that way he wont have to make payments anymore on anything.
But after driving one of those diesels all day retiring to the Tacoma sure is a nice treat! You can zip around on the freeway and fit in small places like crammed parking lots. My Taco is completely stock and even the modified ones I see dont seem really big at all, that is just me I guess

I keep getting teased for having a "baby" truck out of all of us at work. Most of them have full size GMC, Chevy or Rams. A couple of us have Tacomas.

I have no lift at all but I parked next to a GMC and a Ram and for some reason I'm the same height as they are. But the top of the cab on mine is a tad lower. The higher Tacomas in my town have obvious lifts. I don't feel like my truck is any smaller than the next for it being of stock height.

Perspective from the drivers seat, its pretty common for other trucks to look taller.

I have a 4x4 SR5 - are you saying the TRD suspension sits higher or something? Otherwise I don't understand this comment.

Front 5100s at 1.75. Rear TSB. LoRider tonneau cover. OEM bed mat. OEM bug deflector. Illuminated 4x4 switch. In cab AC outlets. 400W anytime. EGR in channel window visors. Black badges. Rear weathertech liners.
Funny you post this cause I think the same thing while driving. It may be that my truck has the factory rake + tsb rear + bull bar. So the front sits lower than the rear. Hopefully not for too much longer as I see 5100s in my future.

This. You can't see the top of the roof, it's higher than your eyes, so the truck looks "taller"

That looks bad ass and so much more capable than the other truck.

Reminds me of a quote complimenting the Corps by a Navy Admiral:
"Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean."

Your's looks skinny and mean, his looks big, lethargic and dumb. Having just traded my Ram 1500 QC for my Taco, it is what it is.
