It is building up with the potential to be rather interesting outside.

Since the game is on Sat, and some people might be interested in going we can go play in the snow Sunday.

I'm thinking head up towards White Sulfur Springs and see if we can get through the Castle Mountains. South to north. There's an old ghost mining town on one end, a homestead cabing partway through, and hopefully some good views. If that doesn't work there are some other roads I haven't been on that we could check out. See how far up Cotton Wood Creek road we can make it, maybe up to Forest Lake. There's Spring Creek road which goes was back into the Little Belts. And if everything is a flop we can do the Ringling Maudlow cut across back to Belgrade.

I fly by the seat of my pants and figure things out as I go along. We can make this as fun as you guys want, just wear your adventure pants. I'll have my grill and I can bring some burgers we can grill for lunch.

So what I'm thinking is maybe meet at REI parking lot (should be central enough) on Sunday morning around 9. Then from there head up through Bridger Canyon. Does that work for people? Feel free to chime in your .02.

Keep in mind it's supposed to be chilly and snowing both Sat and Sun. If it's a tempest of a blizzard out there we may just call it off. We can make that call when we meet in the morning.

Sounds like you know her a little better than I do. Guess we'll just have to see how adventurous people feel. :D

Sounds fine - the bulk of the storm should have passed by Sunday I believe so we will know what we are getting ourselves into....maybe. Keep in mind I don't have tire chains or a rear recovery so I'm going to want to take it easy where ever we end up....guess I'm fresh out of 'adventure pants'....

I have a new GPS to test out though!

    Hush! :p

Tony's just seen me at my worst when I'm thinking I've gotten us lost and start to panic.

The person at Ressler who ordered my truck in the spring of 99 and didn't have a tow package put on it? :notsure:

Haha...so 12 yrs later still no rear recovery point? So when are we going to fix this? Do you have the place to put the stock rear tow hook on the frame?

Too bad you don't have a second gen. Got a paper weight laying around that looks like a receiver hitch that fits a second gen.

I may be able to source a stock tow hook if you want to use that until Tony gets his act together.

I'm perfectly happy with my 1st-y  But a tow hook would be awesome...better than nothing, no?

Only about an inch or so in Belgrade this morning, icy though. My dad drove from Billings to Butte last night and said that Bozeman Pass had about 8 or 9....and lots of cars in the ditch
