The white balance is definitely off. But, you're also seeing reflections of the green color of the floor in the white uniforms and skin of players in the key.

If you're using PS or LR to adjust, use the white balance tool and set the WB off of the Verizon sign. You'll see what I mean :D

I'd like to have the Canon version, but I can't justify the expense versus the amount I'd use it.

    Hi guys,

Who has experience with both Nikkor 35 mm 1.8 and Tamron 17-50 2.8 VC? Can you comment which one do you prefer for an all-around use? I understand that the Tamron's zoom gives flexibility but some reviews said that at 2.8, it's unusable. I have 35 mmm for 3 weeks now and I like sharpness of it wide open but drawback is that it's not wide enough for group shots indoors. I don't want to drop $400 more for lens that won't compare to the 35mm performance. Please share your thoughts. Here are a couple of 35 mm shots.

nothing will be as sharp as a prime but I've heard great things about the 17-50 tamaron. In fact that is the lens I hope to replace my 18-55 with someday since the Canon version is way too expensive.

Hey guys, had a question...new 27" imac or 70-200 VR II? I've had an 08 macbook pro 15.4" since they came out (about 3 years now) and with no upgrades...it is becoming pretty slow. So here are some options that I came up with..

    A) Buy 70-200 VR II and upgrade to a 500gb 7200rpm HDD and add more ram depending on how much it can handle (4gb at the moment).

    B) Buy 27" iMac for $1600 new and add 4gb of ram for a total of 8gb.

Right now I only have the D700 w/ a 35 1.4 since I have sold my other two lenses. My end goal is to have the 14-24, 35 1.4, 70-200 VR II and a 1.7x TC. I will be using the VR II primarily for skiing/snowboarding this winter along with some portraits as well.

I'm concern when tamron 17-50 is used wide open. Some say that it's not sharp so it can be useless for low light condition then. But I read a lot of good of reviews about it though.

I had the tamron 17-50 vc, Its great lens for the money, but I wasnt happy with it compared to the sharpness on my 15-85is, so I sold it and tried the sigma 17-50 and that lens is sharp and the OS is great!

Thanks for your. What's the exact model of this sigma 17-50?
What brand/model/max aperture is your 15-85s?

This...the Sigma is an awesome lens.

And on the iMac...why 27"? I mean I know it's magnificent and all...and that screen is amazing. But how come you're leaning towards the 27" instead of the 21"? I have the 21" and it's plenty big enough for me.

just make sure you get it from a place that will either let you try it out on your camera, or has a good return policy, cause their build quality is awesome, but their QC is sometimes missing. When you get it just make sure you check it for front or rear focus issues. Make sure the focus is where it is supposed to be.

 Well I mean I understand the reason for wanting a 27" but instead get the smaller one, and still upgrade what he had planned on upgrading and use the extra money to put towards a lens.

Get it from Crucial (www.crucial.com). Or maybe MemoryX (www.memoryx.com).

    I'm partial to Crucial.
