    I agree. Recently was able to hook up with a non-profit org in my area called: Renovating Hope Inc. They redo and repair homes of wounded vets all over the country.
    Just last week we finished a remodel for an Army Vet from Iraq who got blown up by an IED when it hit his Hummer. He took schrapnel in the hip & elbow but still managed to pull his unconscious buddy out of the back before the whole thing went up in flames... That was back in 07'
    Flash forward to 11' and he's back home working 2 jobs trying to support his family (has 3 girls under the age of 7) and his home keeps having issues. Structural, insect, you name it...
    Lots of stress & not much $ to make it right.
    We partnered with Renovating Hope and just last week finished a remodel for the family.
    All new siding, windows, front door, rear slider, and new laminate kitchen floor. I was also able to get them some new appliances for the kitchen.
    now they can concentrate on being a family & not worry about their home falling apart before the Holidays.
    The Home Depot Foundation made a sizeable grant to Renovating Hope and I was able to pool some resources to make the $$ go a bit further.
    We hope to be able to complete another 4-5 more projects like this with the Grant Money.
    It was an Honor & Priviledge to be a part of this project - I'm looking forward to the call for the next one!:D
