2011 NCAA Football Thread

I def think that Oregon has developed more as a team since the beginning of the season when they first lost to LSU. Bama is a great team and has always been a power house but I think after the amazing blowout that Oregon slapped Stanford with, if the Ducks were to continue to play that hard theres no reason they shouldnt be in the National Championship again and if they beat USC and OSU they will have completed a pretty tough schedule.

I am just going to go with that its anyones game but I am rooting for Oregon.

 

agreed..oregons defense is overall young and has made a huge turn around from the first game of the season. i say this being un-biased (yes, i am a ducks fan). i understand SEC produces powerhouse teams and that LSU and Bama both are powerful teams. and also that any team can beat any team on any given day as we have all witnessed throughout this football season.

I honestly can't see the voters puting anyone ahead of Bama, I would rather see a Alabama/LSU rematch, (Close, tough game). Then a Oregon/LSU rematch. Nothing against oregon, But i think it would be the better Nat'l Championship Game. And you cant say "That team has had their chance" Because LSU beat Bama and Oregon. BUT if Arky beats LSU, then my god. what would happen then?

i would love to see ark beat lsu. 1 because lsu beat oregon 2. beacause i enjoy seeing upsets and the number 1 teams beat (unless its a team i like of course) and 3 for the shear chaos and panic it would cause the world not knowing who to put on top of the totem pole

 

Exactly! Honestly it would be funny if they just put someone like Houston in there. haha. Houston and Southern Miss, haha.

 

im pretty sure there would be a million riots EVERYWHERE followed by looting of homes and businesses!

the two best teams are probably LSU-BAMA or LSU-OREGON. but since i don't want to see a rematch i vote LSU-OKLAHOMA if OK and beat OK ST

 

SEC EAST! SUCK IT, GAMECOCKS! It was a disgusting game, but they pulled it out and that's all that matters. It seems like there are 2 different play books. Last week, all his calls were right. There were no runs up the middle on 3rd and longs, no stupid calls. This week, with our startin RB out (I'll rant about that in a minute), and our backup not even there for "personal reasons", he decides on 3rd and 6 to run the ball up the middle with our 5'10" 180 lb halfback. Really? And a toss sweep on 4th and long. Whatever...we're goin back to the Dome! If we play like we did today, we have no shot against LSU. The first half was a joke. The defense sucked, the offense sucked, but at least the D remembered they were the #4 defense in the nation in the 2nd half. If we play like we did against Auburn...look for an upset.

Crowell....just give up. Transfer. Or stop cryin. When he's healthy, he can make plays. The only problem is, somethin's wrong with him after every hit. I think he played 2 snaps today and hurt his ankle. I'm tired of it.

Walsh made FGs today, so that's a plus.

We allowed 22 rushing yards. 142 passing yards. That's not too shabby. If our offense would have been firing on all cylinders, that's enough defense for a blow out. Oh well...we're goin back to the Dome...and I'll be lookin for tickets.

It seems to me that Murray and the receivers are not on the same page in these games when our passing in struggling. I don't get it. I had said we would have a chance for an upset earlier but if we play like this then strike that. If we play like we did against Auburn I think we can beat anybody. Don't mean to complain, I'm happy to be there and should be interesting headed into next year. SEC! SEC! SEC!
