    Went to the dealership, and they claim the water came in through the breather. Yes, the one waaaayyy up on the inner fender. Sheesh...

    If they think that, then your FRONT diff. is also full of water, since it has the SAME breather as we used in the rear mod.:rolleyes:

    This seems like on of the easiest and most beneficial mods to do to our trucks and I have yet to do it. It's sad really...

    Went to the Stealership today, and order the parts, first quote? $24.11.

    I told him others were paying around $12.00 and he said oh, I can sell to you for 12.99 with tax...

    I have all the parts I need but I can't find any pressure tubing. I have been to lowes and home depot but have come up with nothing. Is surgical tubing close to the same thing as pressure tubing?

    Just get the size he listed in the first post and it will fit fine. You can always take the fittings with you if you are concerned. Any auto place should have it.

    1/4 inch fuel line and yes, the breather will fit very snug, so snug you'll barely be able to make it work but once there it'll stay for sure. Use a clamp on the hose on union down by axle.......

    Take the fitting with you when you go to the hardware store. Tubing seems to be manufactured to various metric measurements now and packaged to US measurements. I bought some GoodYear 3/8" ID tubing and it was too big for the fittings. Bought some other 3/8" ID tubing and it was snug, but not tight.

    Take your fittings. For some reason I shopped around and what same way was 1/4" was off a little. Just to be sure. :thumbsup:

    The hose clamp will secure it, so it doesn't have to be insane-tight on the barb... just not floppy-loose.

    True. I got a hose that needed to be lube to put on fittings. Then I used clamps. And I regularly check to make sure they didn't fall off. I'm a bit paranoid.

    Just did mine and 1/4" fuel hose fit perfect on the diff fitting
    $14 90404-51026 Intake Air Control Valve Union
    90404-51026 (per - http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/15686-diff-breather-mod-dummies-pics.html ) but was very tight on the breather
    $8 90930-03136 Toyota Breather Plug - 90930-03136
    90930-03136. A little wd40 and some force got it done. I tried to order
    $8 90404-51319 Toyota Genuine Parts - Union (90404-51319)
    90404-51319 but the parts guy said it was not a good #?? I was baffled when I saw that the fittings were different sizes but it worked out and I did take them to Pep boys to test fit on Fuel Hose. 6ft was perfect per Davids route to the rear cubby. It does vent positive or negative pressure so the seals can rest assured now. Also did note that there is a very small tube coming off the Elocker as stated, at least it gets up to the crossmember. I doubt I'll ever get into water that deep as I could just about sit up straight under there with the spare removed (turned it around also). Another well documented mod David :cheers:

    I wouldn't trust that on the diff fitting. Zip ties only last a couple years at best
