Hey all, for the last few days I have been hearing a strange sound in my truck. It sounds like someone crushing up aluminum foil. That is the besy I can explain it. It is loud enough to be heard along with stereo on and the window down , I looked all throught the cab last night and noticed nothing out of place. any ideas? before I take it to the dealer to be looked at?

Sorry. I hid in your truck and crushed tin foil while you were driving.

Is it a constant noise or sporadic? Does it do only when accelerating or does it do while idling also?

HAH!! I had this in MY truck too!!

I'm going to tell you what it ended being so don't the rest of you laugh....

I drink a lot of bottled water and often times I toss the empty plastic bottles in the back, some were slightly pressed in, which will happen with thin plastic bottles. Found out the bottles were "popping" in and out with heat and pressure in the mornings when it was cold and the interior was warming up or vice versa. Used to scare me, suddenly hearing someone crushing an alum can. Sounds just like it!! Even though I clear out my truck every other day of the bottles, I guess one of them was hiding under the seat.
