I'm in the market for a replacement windshield washer reservoir for my 2004 Pre-Runner:

I've read where people patched cracks/small holes with various techniques, but I'm assuming mine is too far gone for that.

Anyone happen to have a spare for sale? I've been checking around locally, no luck yet. Cheapest I've seen online for a new one is around $70, and that's just silly.

    Thank you!

I have checked a few junkyards, no luck yet, but there's still more to go. I have some folks here that I need to talk to about it, as they know way more about local junkyards than I do.

How many cracks or holes as plastic can be welded, remove it and take it to a body shop.

My washer reservois was in similiar condition. I used a 3M fiberglass kit from Home Depot to repair it and it came out very nice and super strong.

    Here is what I did:

    Removed washer reservois from vehicle.
    Clean thouroughly
Wrap at least 3 full layers of fiberglass around the neck being carefull to overlap all joints carefully
Let dry for 2 hours and sand to shape and smooth
I painted fiberglass portion white but you dont have to it just looks better that way

I was suprised at the effectiveness and strength of the repair and the total cost was about 16.00 dollars for the kit and a few hours of time.

    Hope this helps!!

I've got my reservoir from my truck if you're interested. I took it out and swapped it for one from an 87 toyota pickup when i put my trail gear bumper on.

A quick bump to let everyone know kmok is awesome. He sold me his spare washer reservoir for a great price and shipped it quick.

I took BAZZMAZZA's advice and used a fiberglass repair kit from Lowe's and covered the neck completely, as an added protective measure. The neck was fine, I just didn't want the replacement to ever break like my old one. It's curing now, and when it's done, I'll sand it down and paint if needed. Gonna install it when I do my brakes, so hopefully next weekend.
