    When i went to college there, they were tired of them coming down when we would win our 1 or 2 games a year. They put in goal posts that won't come down. I saw 15-20 people on the one with others hanging off. It would bend a little bit but it wouldn't come down.

    I believe this was after a 64 game losing streak.

    Students at Northwestern in 1981 tore down the posts, tossed them over the top of the stadium and threw them into Lake Michigan.

    The funny thing is that the school could not find the goalpost in Lake Michigan and the rest of the home games were forfeited that year.
