I definitely would have. If that trailer failed, it could cause a nasty accident or go through someone's windshield.

 

I need more step by step pictures. I assume this would work to put an a/c plug too? Thats what I have been wanting to do, but not very electrically inclined.

Ya, those are AC plugs on the back of the center console, I've got cords that are about 2' long that run from the back of the console that will plug into the inverter - inverter is set up so that the fan on it is facing back through the vents in the bottom of the console, and the 110v outlets on it are pointing towards the front of the Taco

 

your assumption is correct.

inverter = dc --> ac

 

Also not to be confused with a converter

Converter = AC --> DC

 

See this is why a whole write up is in order, I would have to bother you with questions.

Sorry, don't know if AC was what I meant then, I meant a plug in for a lighter.

Not 100% what ^ means? Is the dc the power generated from the truck/battery and the inverter witches it to ac power for the plugs?

Led switch didn't work out like I would have liked... Switch was expecting a +12v going through the switch and just a simple ground on the led post... Gonna have to figure that out
