Did anyone get the rear leaf TSB in San Diego? I have a 09 Double Cab Short Bed 4x4 TRD and would like to get it done. Toyota of San Diego said "No". Any other places I can go and not have a problem? Thanks in advance.

I'm wondering if there was a memo that went out to dealers. I can't find a dealer that will touch an 09 (SE Virginia) and the 1-800 toyota customer care center states "its up to the dealer" as the 09's ARE NOT COVERED by the TSB even though they are the same vehicle, same parts. Towing with the 3 leafs is pretty iffy.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
If ya can't get it done and/or don't want to wait for the TSB to include 09s, buy an AAL.

Great advice.... provided you want a lift... if you want to maintain near stock ride height and driveline angles it's not that good an option-if you do a lot of towing this is an issue.
The shortest AALs will still add 1.5 to 2 inches. The TSB nets only about 3/4 inches on a V6 DC after it settles from those I have talked to. I've run timbrens in the past and they feel squishy and have an inconsistent performance depending on temperature.

I was told by Toyota (cust care rep) that Toyota "has no plans" to extend the TSB beyond 08. 09's payload rating was reduced in the US instead.

Thanks everyone. Palm Springs is a little too far for me. I'll look into AALs.

I guess Toyota is going to wait till more of you 09 owners bitch about the
ability of the three leaf they continue to use. Might try calling the 800 # to log your complaint. There are a couple other dealers in town as well.
Pacific Beach as well as Escondido or Poway...
    Good Luck

There shouldn't be a problem with those years cause they are listed under the TSB. 09s are not listed yet and from what I have been reading will not be listed. The part number is the same on the TSB but as mentioned earlier it looks like they lowered the payload.

Toyota of Escondido did mine. Called them and asked about the rear leaf TSB, they ordered the parts and got mine done. No problems there.
