Tarik, no problem at all, I'm willing to help out anytime! And don't worry about doing dumb shit to your own vehicle. I've been there many a times!!

Make sure you are good to go for Sun. If there are any issues with vibration, we can revisit the torque issue on Sat.

(unstoppable in the snow with those on!)
Ok, I'm likely coming Sunday, but I might also try to find my way up another mtn I've been wanting to get up for a while now... I found one way last weekend that got up to 870m elev. but dead-ended just a little below the top  of course! haha Just google earth'd it, and compared a bunch of maps, and I think I found a network of logging roads to get up there. Maybe? I think... Who knows! :D

Here are directions to get to where that first photo was taken:
    Start at these:
    48.824073,-123.739121
Here is where the Prevost Road starts. On Google Maps, it looks like a dead-end, but if you move North a bit to where 'Moss Rd' has a big switch back, that is where Prevost Road actually goes. Moss Rd dead-ends at that big bunch of trees. Once you're on Prevost Road, there is only on option to drive, and that is up. Pretty self explanatory once you are there. It hits gravel right where it looks like the road ends (had pretty decent washboard all up it last weekend) and it's gravel/packed dirt 'til the top, if you want to drive to the top. Follow the red arrows on trees (directing toward peak) 'til you get to this intersection:
    48.85616,-123.765535
Be warned that it looks nothing like on on Google Earth/Maps, but look for the sign saying "Plantation Road" (I think it was called that..?), drive for a bit, take the next right, and drive that 'til it opens up into a big clearcut! Then to the right, there was a decently steep 4low worthy hill that dead-ends right at the top without all that much turn around room, so don't get too many trucks up there at a time :p

So from where it opened up, take the left of the roads, then drive that for a while, then I think either the next, or in two forks, take the road that leads downhill. Then there will be a road that forks off to the left and up. Take that one, and then drive up a ways, through some annoying drainage ditches that you have to slow way down for, and then take the left at the fork on the hill (almost the top) and you'll hit a dead-end with one hell of a view. (I can get coordinates for that exact location tomorrow, lent my GPS to a buddy.)

Anyone volunteer to memorize that in case I don't come out this Sunday? :p

YES I AM EQUALLY AS STOKED!:yay:
I've been stoked ever since I noticed a snow flake symbol was in the forecast two weeks ago.
*I've also got four of those blue saucer disks I can bring too if your search renders you with inadequate crazy-carpet-ness

    Print a copy? :p

I've got the 80-some dollar per set Canadian Tire ones... (the cable with the round crimped beads) They work well enough, just need bungee cords to keep them tight on the outside as they often loosen up as you drive fast. Saying that, I have never driven with them faster than 10 km/hr. But I was unstoppable in packed-with-fresh-on-top snow about 2-3' deep! Passed many jeeps in the ditch that day, and was the only vehicle apart from a quad that made it to the top of Prevost the whole day. :yay:
*I have two pairs, so all four wheels get them. It looks badass, and is loud as hell, but for sure well worth it in my opinion!

Ok, I'll investigate further into going up to the top of that mtn. It involves going into TimberWest's property, so we'd have to make sure they aren't active that day, and they sign you in, take a photo of you/your truck, get you to sign some stuff (saying you won't be a speeding-drunk-shotgunning-maniac) then I got a highfive, and went in.

I'll keep you updated today if I'll be going tomorrow or not! My buddy who came last time is being stolen by his girlfriend this weekend... damn

I'd actually prefer meeting at this T-Ho's, as I live in Shawnigan, and will be there at 8:30-ish. Expect the Vic crowd around 9-ish.

    Sound like a plan?

Drove through Duncan today, no snow from what I could see on Prevost or Tzouhalem. No snow between Nanaimo and Cowichan Bay really, some in Millbay/Cobble Hill.

Looks like we've got about...7-8ish Tacos?
I would like to give Syncros a meeting location but I am not sure where we are going. I suggested Dan's original route but other ideas have been proposed since then - and for people not meeting at 8 at Tim Hortons, they need a location and time.
That said, my daughter has a high fever and if Tylenol doesn't kill it we'll be paying a visit to the hospital, so I'm not sure what my status is anymore.
Dan, or someone with a definite location please post up where/when Syncros can meet you.
I will do what I can to be there tomorrow.
