2011 NCAA Football Thread

i just got back from uwharrie so ive only been listening. it just sounds like great NC State defense and just sloppy ball from clemson. im just now watching it. that's not the same Clemson that's been on all the other ball fields. . . . hell, or the wolfpack lol.

 

no. they are a slide by every season mediocre at best/look like tom obrien is about to get the sack/then always beats Carolina to secure his job/start picking up their shit at the end of the season when it's already too late.

 

well i got nothing better to do but rant right now so here it comes, feel free to ignore

a team is only as good as its offensive and defensive line. i don't care what skill players you have or what linebackers and db's, if the lines play bad a team loses. plain and simple

CU o-line has played alright the previous games for the most part. better pass block than run block. the d-line has played alright as well, usually only as good as the opposing teams o-line. defense in general is shaky and is usually more of a key stop type defense than all around solid shutdown defense.

that being said, now the o-line is down a starter headed into this game and lost two more in the game if i remember correctly. that is 3 backups. so that is basically the reason cu sucks this game. defense on the field to much and ncst has ball on cu side of the field everytime. defense can only do so much when offense turns ball over. but the d still has played bad, no pressure on ncst qb after the 1st. combine the injured o-line with tajh's mediocre/shaky play the recent weeks and its a perfect storm to get your butt whipped.

so if the o-line doesn't improve and tajh quit throwing int's, cu won't win another game this year. as of now i'd concede everygame from here on out as long as we beat carolina

Easy, son. This is Tom O'briens first full field of his own recruits. This was going to be a good season...predicted top 15, but they have had more injuries than the carolina panthers. They are starting to get back, just too late. If they are healthy next year they will be a force.

 

This has the possibility to be the best Saturday in college ever. BlowU is gettin beat at the moment, and, I HATE SC, but they need to beat Oregon. Could #2, 4, & 5 all go down in one weekend??? It'd be amazing.

well since cu lost i hope ok loses along with us, oregon, ok st, and fsu to be in good company at least. but is also sort of sucks cause cu could have moved up the rankings. not that rankings mean anything if your not 1 and 2, and cu wouldn't ever be 1 or 2 this year even if we won, so not to big a deal, game really didn't mean anything

 

Could we REALLY have a SEC 1, 2, 3 BCS poll???? Come on Baylor!

oh ducks lol you never sease to suprise me. they played good in the fourth but that usc team looked so good out there it was crazy. still hopefull for the rose bowl. its gunna be crazy these next two weeks congrats to all you lsu fans looks like you wont have to face us in the national championship.

 

So LSU has had a 1 Vs 2 game, now they'll have a 1 vs 3 game. Freakin nuts. How many times has somethin like this happened in the BCS system? I'm so glad I'm not a fan of a different conference. I'd hate people like me that like to rub it in that the SEC is the best conference in the nation...
