Haha, it sure looks inevitable that the SEC will win another NC. Unless Houston gets a shot and pulls off a ridonkulous miracle.

It would take a massive phuck-up for the BCSNC not to be an all-SEC affair. Bama doesn't have as clear a shot as I'd like... If Arkansas beats La State in a close game Friday and Bama underwhelms in an Iron Bowl victory, it's possible that Arky and La State end up above Bama, which would keep us out of the SECC and the NC.

All we can control is our own game, so we have to beat the shit out of Auburn. I'm OK with that.

Houston deserves a BCS bowl, but not THE BCS bowl. They played nobody, and that's a function of their conference, and that's too bad.

If La State beats #3 Arkansas, then beats UGA in the SECC, then beats #2 Bama in the NC game... holy shit! Les Miles should be given a 10 year, $10m/year contract.

La State, Arkansas and Alabama are a combined 31-2, and the two losses are to each other. After next weekend, the three are likely to be 33-3, again with only losses to each other. Take a look at the list of clowns Houston has rolled over this year and tell me you honestly think they're worthy of playing for the championship.

Houston is the new Boise State.

To me it shouldn't be an all SEC (or any conference) NC game. If you can't win your conferance, you don't deserve to be the NC. JMO.

 

I understand where you're comin from...but it's not like any other conference has a chance, anyway.

In all seriousness, if the SEC has the 2 best teams in the nation, they should be able to play each other for the title. Matt showed the stat where they are 31-2 or somethin like that...and the losses both come to the other SEC West team. If no one else can beat em, why not let em play each other again?

 

but if they have only played each other, how do we know they are really better than someone from the big 12, big 10, pac 12 or another conference. Maybe the big 12 is just that much better over all that not just one of them can get through undefeated? (not saying that it is true, just a possibility)

Boise State has been singing that song for years, I'll give it to them though they to do show up for big games. They had to prove themselves over years to get the little respect they have due to their conference / strength of schedule. Let Houston consistently be in the top 10 for a few years and maybe you'll get your shot. I really hope you can keep your QB for that time span .

 

Just think for a minute how that would shake everything up if you guys pull off an upset in the SECC......I'd be lovin' it......and so would Alabama!! .......even though I'm a Gamecock fan, I'm also pulling for any East side team!

 

IF you don't win your conference you don't deserve a shot at the title. end of story. And for the bama fans who wonder why everyone hates them it for the way you are acting after losing to LA state. whining about how you didn't really lose and your still the best team in the country. here is a little helpful hint.
