Dumb ass attack on my part. As soon as I read it tonight, I knew what you were talking about but, for some reason last night it was not getting in my think scull.

Top side. We lock through Wheeler, Wilson and Guntersville. It's a cool spot. Next time yall get together, I'm interested in driving over and I'm pretty sure another dude would too (Jeramy89 on this site). If nothing else next time we head there on the boat I'll PM you and maybe we can check out your truck.

As far as the history, I'm unfamiliar but, it's interesting...those types of stories always get my interest. I read the attached link but, will be interested in seeing if you find anything else.

Changing the subject just minute. I'm going to look at a warn winch thats on a full size truck, the guy is saying it dont work, but he doesn't actually know whats wrong with it. i could probably could get it dirt cheap, maybe even free. So my question is, whats to old and how fixable are winches.

DC motor, so brushes most likely need replaced. Worse case would be needing to get the coil rewound. After that, switches for activation and neutral. I am only speaking in a general sense and not as a winch expert.

Oh yeah, David, not sure if you saw this in the AL thread, but MetalTech has the LR UCA's at the group buy price for Cyber Monday.

Thanks for the info on the winch, found out its at least 10 years old. I'm wondering now if its even worth my time to look at it. Anyway didn't know about the group buy, glad you told me. Probably will be getting them for christmas from hoho.
