The routing of the wire in POST # 140 is what I'm descibing in the video---fuse protected and your lights still go off with the stock timer off switch--OLY

Caribe makaira thought of even a cleaner way to wire it up for 2012 tacos.

There is no need to run the wire out of the small fuse box where the fog relay is since there are already 2 slots that are wired to ign power. They are the #2 slot (circled in green) and turn on/off with the ignition so you don't drain your battery. Suggested you use an inline fuse (1A will do) for extra protection.

So instead of running it to the Tail light relay in the large fuse box. just plug it into one of the available slots near the fog relay

 

The title of the OP is "Fog Lights On W/Parking...Low Beam...High Beam"...

The method of this mod has nothing to do with an in-line fuse, splicing, or cramming a male blade into anything hot when the ignition is on...it is the most simplistic way of turning on your fogs while running your parking lights, your low beams, or your high beams...it is fuse protected and reversible...a la caribes mod is fine, but is entirely different from the one I describe in the original post...if you have a short and your 1A fuse blows you better have a fire extinguisher in your rig...I would go overkill on the ampere rating of your in-line fuse--OLY

didn't mean to step on any toes. Just thought I'd share a a different version of Your mod for the 2012 owners since wiring between the fuse boxes is less than ideal. I believe wiring it to the Seat heater relay is fused upstream just as much as the taillight relay is, so there shouldn't be a problem.

Olympic View's fog light mod worked perfectly on my 2011. Super easy! With the blinding snow in Utah, sometimes it's nice to turn off the head lights and get effective lighting as low to the ground as possible.

Just did this mod on my 2010, super easy, worked like a charm first try, thank you OP.

 

I did this too and its works great. Hardest part is removing the relays, but at least you don't need to remove the battery power. One just needs to remember to turn off their fogs in traffic conditions when the highbeams are on.

ok i got a 08 and going to run the 18ga wire from the fog relay to the towing relay but I understand that this is just a bypass right? the 18ga wire itself is not going to get scalding hot and melt things right?
