I don't care if it is electronic or just a quick disconnect, but I would buy one. The problem is that you have to pull the wheels and disconnect the tie rods to get it off and on. If I could get it out from underneath the truck just by undoing 4 bolts, I would never complain. I have pulled my swaybar to head offroad and I like the feel of the truck on the trial without it, but I hate the truck on the road. Trail braking on the road feels very odd without the swaybar.

It would be nice if Toyota brought the KDSS over to the FJC's and Tacoma's.

Like others have said....just more shit to break. If you dont want your swaybar offroad, just un-bolt the links before you hit the trails, buy quick disconnects, or just tear the bitch off.

I took mine off 4 years ago and haven't had any problems. It handles a lot better off road, and I dont feel much of a difference on road.

Just dont drive like reytard and be careful

I know a member on here that would disagree. However I do believe her right foot was replaced years ago with brick of lead.

Nope. With great flex comes great responsibility. The anti sway bar is there for that exact reason.

Yup, the new 4runner trail edition has this, they call it Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System.

Ive asked on t4r a couple of times for numbers comparing a kdss 4runner to one without. No one seems to take measurements though. From what I can tell it doesnt add any flex, and the improved on road ride will be negated once you get coilovers that do the job better.

I found this video about the KDSS. Once I watched the video the system make a lot more sense. I haven't taken measurements on the travel yet. I crawled under my 4Runner and looked at the system and how it's attached to the LCA's, frame and the rear axle and frame. Installing a new suspension that gets you 2.5"-3" of lift should have zero affect on the KDSS if installed in a way to not change the balance between the front and rear hydraulic pistons.

What I was talking about was how kdss makes you stay flatter in corners. But if you upgrade your suspension youre gonna have the same result.

Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
Be careful when you disconnect your sway bar. While it will give you more articulation of the front wheels it also will put more stress on the ball joints and front drive train. If you do hard core driving under those conditions you may wind up replacing CV joints as well as ball joints.
